The City of Hamilton Eisteddfod Inc is a not-for-profit organisation, and we rely on the generous contributions of our supporters to continue delivering a great fortnight of performance in Hamilton each year.

Thousands of volunteer hours go into organising and running our Eisteddfod, and we appreciate the valuable support of our Eisteddfod friends and community in helping make this happen.

We are proud to celebrate and nurture creative talent in our region. Your valued contributions help provide an opportunity for performers to compete in front of an audience, and receive feedback from professional and acclaimed adjudicators.

Your help also allows us to recognise the achievements of our competitors with a range of trophies and prize money.

This is an exciting time for the Hamilton Eisteddfod, as we grow our competitions and attract an increasing number of new visitors to Hamilton for the event each year. Please help us to continue this progress.

Volunteer

It takes around 2000 volunteer hours and 500 volunteer shifts to run the Hamilton Eisteddfod each year, so we’d be grateful for your help!

Our volunteers can take on a broad range of duties including running the registration desk, ushering, assisting backstage, selling tickets, serving at the kiosk and timekeeping. We train all our volunteers, and our experienced committee members are always on hand to help, so no previous experience is required.

We know our volunteers find it a particularly rewarding experience, but we always need more people to add to our roster.

If you would like to volunteer at the Hamilton Eisteddfod, please contact the committee to express your interest. We can let you know when our Volunteer Roster is ready for you to nominate your availability.

Your donation or bequest to the City of Hamilton Eisteddfod Inc will help us cover event running costs, and ensure the ongoing sustainability of the Hamilton Eisteddfod.

All donations, great and small, are very much valued by our committee.

Donate to the Eisteddfod

Sponsor

There are approximately 220 competition sections in the Hamilton Eisteddfod, and we seek a sponsor for each of these to help cover prize money and the purchase of trophies and medals.

Sponsorships start at $60 for smaller sections, and we welcome contributions from individuals, families and businesses.

Your sponsorship will be acknowledged by our announcer at the start of your sponsored section, and also in the program.

To sponsor a section at the next Hamilton Eisteddfod, please contact the committee by the end of March.

Advertise

Businesses are invited to advertise in our printed programs. Programs are purchased by a large number of our audience members, as well as local and visiting competitors.

Advertisers may choose to select one of our two A5-size programs (Music or Dance), or may choose to purchase a separate advertisement in each.
Program advertising rates are:

¼ page: $70 / program
½ page: $120 / program
Full page: $180 / program
