2025 AGM Update
In 2025, competition entries increased slightly again, and our financial position remains stable and carefully managed. We received a grant from the Hamilton Community Music Program which was very helpful.
2025 Eisteddfod Snapshot:
- 108 Music sections
- 83 Dance sections
- 14 Speech & Drama sections
- Approx. 1,530 competitors
- 75 trophies awarded
- $15,000 awarded in prize money, trophies, medals, awards and scholarships
Committee member, Rachel Huf attended a particularly interesting Shire-run event on the use of social media this year, and supporters of the Hamilton Eisteddfod can expect to see a greater social media presence for the competition.
It is wonderful to move into the new year with some very exciting news. The Committee will introduce a Film discipline to our event in 2026. This will be an avenue for further participation, and fits perfectly into the scope of a modern Eisteddfod. We look forward to sharing more details with you soon.
We thank Mary-Ann Brown, our AGM guest speaker and chairman for the selection of office holders for 2026. The following committee was elected:
President: Leeanne Barber
Vice President: Deborah Jones
Secretary: Denise Fenwick
Asst. Secretary: Jane Van Herpen
Treasurer: Becky Morton
Asst. Treasurer: Glenys Tindall
Program Coordinator: Tara Stephens
Canteen Coordinator: Becky Morton

I would like to thank all members of the Committee for their continuing support in maintaining this substantial event in Hamilton. Thanks also to the many volunteers, donors, sponsors and advertisers who support us. Last but not least, thank you to the Shire of Southern Grampians for its continuing support.
Yours in performance,
