Join us for the 60th Annual Hamilton Eisteddfod in 2024
The Hamilton Eisteddfod is one of the longest running eisteddfods in Victoria, and we’re proud to reach this significant milestone. Our first event was held in 1963, with 21 vocal and instrumental sections. Apart from two years when our competition wasn’t held, we’ve continued to grow and evolve ever since: last year, our competition included 165 sections from Music, Dance and Speech & Drama disciplines.
Thousands of performers and spectators have supported us over this time. Thousands of volunteers have worked with us over this time. We thank them all sincerely.

Published to mark our 50th anniversary (just over ten years ago), this beautiful hardcover book documents the rich history of the Hamilton Eisteddfod, and the people who helped to make it a success in its first 50 years. We look forward to celebrating 60 years of performance and talent, and will mark this momentous milestone at events during the 2024 Hamilton Eisteddfod. Stay tuned for more information, or contact the committee if you’d like to volunteer to be part of it with us.

Dance: 10 June – 16 June 2024
Speech & Drama: 17 June 2024
Entries open Monday 26 February 2024.
Competition Schedules and General Conditions are now available on this website, as well as information about our 2024 adjudicators: Janette Cook (Music Adjudicator), Debbie Landel (Dance Adjudicator) and Louise Le Nay (Speech & Drama Adjudicator) will all generously share their expertise with our competitors.
