2021 Hamilton Eisteddfod Cancelled

We are disappointed to announce that the Hamilton Eisteddfod will not be held this year. However, we hope to offer different performance opportunities for our contestants in 2021.

In our previous update, we explained that we were seeking an alternative venue for the 2021 competition, as the Hamilton Performing Arts Centre will be carrying out roof replacement works at that time.

Our committee and executive explored other possibilities at great length, but it became evident that an alternative solution at a different date or venue wouldn’t cater for all our schools, dance schools, teachers and competitors in a suitable way.

We thank all our supporters, including advertisers, sponsors and volunteers for their continued support, and we look forward to holding the 58th Annual Hamilton Eisteddfod in 2022.

In the meantime, the Hamilton Eisteddfod committee is looking into other ways we can bring our competitors together in 2021.

We are exploring opportunities for masterclasses or other performance events that contribute to Hamilton’s cultural heritage this year, and allow our competitors to take the stage once again.
